Samba set to stay at Ewood Park | Blackburn Rovers | English Premier League | Football News from TEAMtalk

agents – break your heart don’t they? Just when we was hoping we could cash in 4 million squid for a 400K purchase, especially with his calamitous form last season. Anyone else think it’s a coincidence Dunne has just signed a new contract there? Then again, Mad Thaksin probably kyboshed the deal as he wasn’t enough of a ‘galactico’, he probably said “why buy Crissy Samba when we can have Cannavaro?”

The agent of Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba’s agent expects the defender to remain at Ewood Park next season.

The centre-half has impressed in the Premier League during the past 18 months following his cut-price move from Hertha Berlin.

He was brought to Ewood Park by former Rovers boss Mark Hughes, who moved on to Manchester City last month.

Samba’s representative Leon Lambert recently claimed that Hughes was keen to take the 24-year-old to City in a £4million deal.

However, Lambert now says the Congo international is happy at Blackburn and is not predicting a summer transfer.

“Chris has a five-year deal and he is very happy,” said Lambert in the Daily Star Sunday.

“There have been some rumours, but at this moment I expect him to start the season there.”
